Each family tries to do better than the other. But on this day, both have also to face a big dilemma. A DVD is presented to both families and as they watch, sheer anger builds up, along with the tension. Watch the movie to know the outcome, the pain, trouble, and the wonderful climax. Recounted with plenty of twists and heartbreaks, there is enough humor to counter the sadness and suspense. Thus, making the entire movie very much enjoyable.

Made with contributions from 101 of Barretto’s family members and friends Nachom-ia Kumpasar premiered in Goa in 2014. Equally, it had hundreds of Housefull ticketed screenings organized by the makers themselves. However, The idea behind the staggered, non-conventional release was that the film should reach audiences, gain critical mass steadily, and remain relevant for two years, not just two weeks. Importantly, the film weaves its lilting narrative through 20 timeless songs based on actual events.

Nachom-ia Kumpasar has won 24 international, 3 national and 10 state awards making it the most awarded Konkani film. Also, at the 62nd National Film Awards, the film won three awards. Bardroy Barretto won the award for the best feature film in Konkani. Moreover, Aparna Raina won the award for best production design. And actress Palomi Ghosh received National Film Award – Special Jury Award / Special Mention for Female Actor certificate and a special mention for a female actor. Tambde Roza is a Konkani song sung mostly at weddings, but this song was slowly fading off. Mark has given a new life and brought it back with a modern touch. The band mark plays for is Black in White and they all complement well in syncing together as one unit.
