Equally, it had hundreds of Housefull ticketed screenings organized by the makers themselves. However, The idea behind the staggered, non-conventional release was that the film should reach audiences, gain critical mass steadily, and remain relevant for two years, not just two weeks. Importantly, the film weaves its lilting narrative through 20 timeless songs based on actual events.

Nachom-ia Kumpasar has won 24 international, 3 national and 10 state awards making it the most awarded Konkani film. Also, at the 62nd National Film Awards, the film won three awards. Bardroy Barretto won the award for the best feature film in Konkani. Moreover, Aparna Raina won the award for best production design. And actress Palomi Ghosh received National Film Award – Special Jury Award / Special Mention for Female Actor certificate and a special mention for a female actor.
